Situated in the heart of Saddleworth, 'The Shippon' boutique B&B with luxury chalets, is a renovated 'milking parlour' dating back to the start of the 18th century, in 1746.
The Shippon has been in the owner's family since 1962, initially as a small dairy farm. Over those years, it was continued to be used by the Byrom family as a small working farm whilst meeting the changing trends in agriculture.
In 2006, the farm was diversified into a luxury bed and breakfast to combine modern comfort with original features, giving a unique character and setting to the four double en-suite rooms in the bed and breakfast.
After years of hosting guests, we have just added two new options, Bryn Glas and Petronella. These are two self-catering chalets named after the owner's former Welsh ponies. The chalets set a new benchmark for self-catering accommodation in Saddleworth.
